Christmas Tree 'Nordmann Fir' | Pot Grown | 80-100cm tall

Nordmann Firs are sought after for their spreading, near horizontal branches that are clothed in relatively soft, grey-green needles. They are noted for their ability to hold onto their needles (provided they are kept well watered are not kept in a very warm room), and that means they are also quite low maintenance.

These British-raised trees have been grown in their pots over several years on farmland in Southern and Eastern Scotland. This means they will settle into their new homes very easily, where they can either be potted up and grown on, or planted out in the garden.

They can be brought inside the house for short periods (up to 2 weeks in cool, bright conditions), which makes them perfect for the Christmas festivities - and potentially they could be used year after year.

Care Guide.

Keep your tree outside for as long as possible, and when you do move it inside, find a spot away from radiators, fires or draughty doorways. Keep it really well watered, and move it back outside if it starts to look a little lackluster.

If you want to keep it in a pot, pot it up into something larger each year (using John Innes No. 2 compost) and keep it in a sunny spot. Keep in mind that if you do plant it out, it can (eventually) grow to around 100 feet or more!
